Lucas, M. (2012). “A Band Director’s Survival Kit for Teaching Middle School Choir.”

Lucas, M. (2012). “The Effect of Voice Change on an Adolescent Male’s Attitude about Singing and his Self-Efficacy of His Singing Ability.”  Dr. Lucas created and piloted a survey instrument studying the self-efficacy and attitudes of young men from Norman, OK Public Schools in grades 5-8 about singing. He has been using a modified version of the Cooksey method to voice test these same young men in an attempt to discover any correlation between self-efficacy, attitude, and the changing voice.
