Last day

So, I am writing this post from my phone while sitting on a train. It is Noon in Tokyo on Sunday (10 PM Saturday in Kansas) and I am slowly but surely making my way to Tokyo-Narita airport from Shinjuku Station to catch my flight home.

Yesterday, Andrew, Tim, and I gave our presentation at the International Symposium on Performance Science in Kyoto. It was very well attended and very well received. There are some important people in attendance here and we were all somewhat nervous but many scholars from around the world approached us to speak with us afterwards.

We then took a bullet train to Tokyo and did some shopping and sightseeing. We even ate some wonderful sushi. This morning we took a trip to Tokyo Bay for sightseeing and now here I am on the train, ending my trip.

It has been a life changing experience and I will post a summary blog post with my thoughts sometime in the next week. Until then then I will leave you with these photos of my last days in Japan. . .for now!

  1. Outstanding! So enjoyed reading about your trip — bet that surprises you that I figured out how to do it — all by myself! You are the absolute right person in the right place at the right time. Thanks for all you are doing and will continue to do for Dear Old Bethany!!
